Breaking Silences Around Sexual Violence in Conflict
Launched in October 2024, the Dignity in Documentation Initiative (DIDI) is a new multiyear initiative focusing on global, integrated, and holistic conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) documentation. The initiative’s goal is to provide truth and justice for victims and survivors as well as hold perpetrators to account. The DIDI takes a survivor-centered and trauma-informed approach, prioritizing the needs of CRSV survivors while also supporting survivor networks, civil society, and community-based organizations to meet these needs.
Thank you for visiting our website. Details about the Dignity in Documentation Initiative, dedicated to advancing truth, justice, and accountability for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, will be available in early 2025. Stay tuned for updates.

The DIDI will be implemented by a multi-disciplinary consortium of NGO’s led by the International Coalition for the Sites of Conscience (ICSC). In addition to ICSC, the DIDI consortium includes the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation, the Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation; Justice Rapid Response; Legal Action Worldwide; and Synergy for Justice.
Additionally, the Consortium will draw on the skills and capacity of consulting partner organizations: All Survivors Project, Partners in Justice International, and International Institute for Criminal Investigations.
